Hi, my name is Adele Maxwell. I started researching our family history when my oldest son was born about 12 years ago. Well I've been hooked every since. When I was growing up I remember going to forts, historic houses, museums and all kinds of tours. My mother has a love for history and has past that on to me. She knows so much about Pensacola and the surrounding area and has been participating in the Fiesta Treasure Hunt in Pensacola since 1992. The Fiesta of five flags is to celebrate the five different flags that have flown over the area. I love learning about the history of the area and our family's history also. I also have to say a thank you to my Grandmother Dean. She has been such an inspiration also in documenting our family's histories for the generations to come. I love visiting her and hearing stories about her growing up and seeing what new crafts she is working on.
